LASU Special Convocation Jumat Service Holds

In the spirit of the Convocation and to express thanks to the Almighty for the 29th and 30th LASU Convocations, a special JUMAT service was held on Friday, 14th August, 2026. Hosted by the Lagos State University Muslim Community, LASUMUC, it was a moment to reflect and give appreciation for another convocation ceremony.

The ceremony also honoured some of the best graduating students within LASUMUC, including Ayilara Lawal, the BGS for the 2024/2025 set.
Others include:
·ALIMI Toyeeb – OBGS 2024/25, Law
·Ajitokewu Taiwo – First Class
·Ajitokewu Kehinde – BGS, Computer Science Education 2025/2026
·Shittu Muhyideen – First Class
·Jamiu Mohammed – BGS, Religion and Peace Studies
·Abdulqudus Hameed – BGS, Botany

A token of appreciation was presented to the Vice Chancellor and the University on behalf of the LASU Muslim Community by the Imam in Council, Prof. Kudus Amuni.
This was followed by words of appreciation from the Best Graduating Student, Ayilara Lawal.
Dr. Sodiq Usman also gave a vote of thanks, commending the VC’s efforts and support towards the LASU Muslim Community.
